Jeremy Tung

Jeremy Tung, a 10-year-old cello enthusiast from Cupertino, CA, began learning the cello at age seven under the guidance of Ms. Li-Tsu Tsao, whose mentorship deeply inspired him. He is now studying with Mr. Abraham Aragundi and continues to grow as a musician. He is an active performer, regularly participating in recitals and competitions. Jeremy has won in various competitions including 1st place in the 2022 and 2023 International Association of Professional Music Teachers (IAPMT) Competition; 1st place in the 2024 US Open Music Competition (USOMC); 2nd place in the 2024 American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition, which led to his winner’s recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In summer 2024, Jeremy joined “Dance La Musique” Cello Ensemble and performed in National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying). He likes to contribute to the community by performing in local senior homes and community events. Recently, he played as a solo cellist in the JHF Chorus Concert.

Jeremy also has a deep love for chamber music. Alongside three friends, he formed a cello quartet called Fantastic Four, which performed at the annual Fall Market at the Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto, CA. Their goal is to share their passion for music and bring joy to others. In his freetime, Jeremy loves to play movie sound tracks for fun, as well as playing the piano and volleyball.
