
15-year-old flautist Jessica Cao has continued to grow as a musician through different opportunities that have challenged and inspired her. In 2024, she was selected as the principal flautist for the California All-Northern Junior High Honor Band and also performed with the All-State Junior High Symphonic Band. In addition, Jessica was accepted into the California Youth Symphony in 2023 and currentlyplays flute and piccolo in the Associate Orchestra. She will make her debut as a member of the Senior Orchestra in the 2025–26 season. Jessica has been playing flute for four years and remains passionate about improving her skills and using music as a way to form meaningful connections with others. Outside of rehearsals and lessons, she also volunteers at local senior homes, where she organizes small concerts to bring music and joy to residents.
