Joanne Chen, a freshman at University High School in Irvine, California is currently studying viola and piano. Joanne began studying viola at 8 years old and piano at 6 years old. Joanne has enjoyed playing with various local honors orchestras, All-Southern California and the Irvine school district honors orchestra. She currently studies viola with Ms. Sorah Myung. Aside from music, she loves learning about entomology through her school’s science club and enjoys volunteering at her church.
