Joao Vitor Castro, 12 years old, is passionate about music.
His journey began at the age of four, when, in a self-taught way, he started playing his very first notes on the piano. Since then, music has become not just a hobby, but the true language of his heart.
In 2024, Joao discovered the violin — and what could have been just another instrument quickly turned into a profound artistic connection. In less than six months, he developed remarkable technique, unique sensitivity, and a striking stage presence. His dedication was soon recognized: he received the Most Outstanding Trophy as the best student in his orchestra class and earned Superior ratings in two ensembles at the Solo & Ensemble Festival, organized by the Florida Orchestra Association.
Joao is not only a performer but also a composer. One of his original pieces was chosen to be performed at the school orchestra’s final concert, moving the audience with its beauty and creativity. In addition to the violin, he also taught himself piano and guitar, demonstrating impressive versatility and a genuine love for music.
His rising talent has already crossed borders. In 2025, Joao was honored with the International Star Kids Award, an international recognition celebrating his brilliance and inspiring artistic journey.
Although still very young, Joao Vitor is building a path marked by excellence, discipline, and passion. His greatest dream is to continue composing, performing, and sharing with the world his love for music.
