Joonghyun Kim is an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania studying bioengineering, with a deep and growing passion for music. He began playing the violin at the age of seven and later discovered the piano at eighteen, teaching himself out of a desire to engage with music on a more personal level. He later began formal piano studies with pianist Hanchien Lee, where he continues to develop his technique and musical expression.
Beyond his academic and musical training, Joonghyun finds joy in sharing music with others—especially through performances for patients in hospital settings. He values music not only as a form of personal expression, but also as a meaningful way to bring comfort and connection to those around him.
