Joshua Hong is a dedicated violinist from Boyds, Maryland who has been playing for over 5 years. During this time, he has served as Concertmaster of the MCPS Junior Honors Orchestra and was selected as Co-Concertmaster of the Maryland All-State Junior Orchestra, experiences that reflect his continued development as both a performer and a leader.
Within the Maryland Classical Youth Orchestras program, he has served as Concertmaster in multiple ensembles over time, including Chamber Strings, Young Artists, and Symphony, and currently Chamber Ensemble. Through these experiences, he has developed a strong sense of ensemble collaboration and musical direction while working closely with peers.
In addition, he was also invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, an opportunity that further reflects his engagement in high-level mastery as he continues to pursue violin with a focus on growth in both solo and orchestral performance.
