Joshua Lee of Westwood, Massachusetts began studying piano with Mrs. Veda Kogan in 2022 at age 7 and is now 11 years old. He has won First Prize in multiple international and Massachusetts competitions throughout 2023-2025. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in January 2025 with a Beethoven piano sonata and aims to return to that inspiring stage in the future. In 2025, he also performed Shostakovich at the stunning Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, Massachusetts and separately, performed Bach with a professional chamber music ensemble in Andover, Massachusetts. He loves performing on stage and has played in over 20 recitals and competitions, earning awards in every piano competition to date. Joshua is currently a 6th grader at Thurston Middle School in Westwood, where he plays piano in his school orchestra and enjoys math. In addition to his classical piano pursuits, he is an avid athlete who especially loves playing basketball.
