A native of South Korea, Juhyun Hwang is a pianist, collaborative pianist, and entrepreneur. She is currently pursuing her master’s in Piano Performance under Dr. Andrew Cooperstock at the University of Colorado Boulder. After completing her pre-college education at the Seoul Arts High School, she began studying abroad in the United States. She graduated summa cum laude from the Missouri State University, holding a bachelor’s in Piano Performance alongside minors in General Business and International Business Studies.
Hwang has won numerous awards and prizes, such as the Presser Foundation Award, Diamond Prize at the Carl Reinecke International Music Competition, and First Place at the Missouri Music Teachers Association Competition Collegiate Division. She is also passionate about collaborative/chamber music and is actively involved in the CU Boulder Honors Chamber Music Ensemble as a member of Ruellia Trio.
