Junhun Kwon

Junhun Kwon has been playing the cello for six years. Inspired by a school teacher’s violin performance, he was drawn to classical music and decided to take up a string instrument himself. Since then, music has become a meaningful part of his life through finding friendships through orchestra and other cellists. He has performed with both the BYO and OSYO, gaining valuable ensemble experience. Junhun hopes to continue playing cello in college and further explore his passion for music.

Watch Junhun Kwon perform Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, Op. 33 by Camille Saint-Saëns on the cello for the 2025 Summer Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
