Kaitlyn Annika Sin ( AmusA, LTCL) is currently an ATAR music student at Presbyterian Ladies College, Western Australia. Her musical journey began at 6.5 years old.
At 10, she obtained a distinction in the AMEB Certificate of Performance (accelerated grade 1-8) in her first music examination.
She attained an Associate in Music, Australia, a diploma awarded by the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB), at 11.
In 2023, she was awarded the Licentiate of Trinity College London LTCL.
Under the tutelage of Dr. Raymond Yong, she has developed an in-depth understanding of Taubman – based techniques, where she has established cognitive understanding, self evaluation, application of ease and control in technically challenged pieces by Lizst, Beethoven, Schubert, and Schumann.
Her favourite composer is Franz Lizst with the affinity of the same birthdate.
As an aspiring musician, she performed at Wiener Saal Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria in 2017, Carnegie Hall in 2018 and is a prize winner of many first prizes in both solo piano performances and duets in local eisteddfods in Western Australia.
She is a member of her school chorale, piano trio, piano duo and church accompaniment.
She strives to discover different aspects in music geres and learnt to play the bagpipe (under the MENSA Australia grant) to refine her artistic flair.
Kaitlyn was named the Young community citizen of the year in 2024
