
Kalyaa Pradeep is currently a junior at Cupertino High School, where she serves as the principal flautist of the Wind Ensemble and flute section leader of the marching band. She began playing the flute at age 11 and is now a member of the Golden State Youth Orchestra, with whom she has traveled to France and Spain to debut performances. In addition to Western classical music, Kalyaa enjoys sharing her culture by performing on the bamboo flute at community events and through her volunteer work with Music For Years. She has performed multiple times at Carnegie Hall through the Honors Performance Series, the American Protégé Woodwinds and Brass Competition, and the American Protégé Concerto Competition. Kalyaa has also participated in several statewide music events, earning first chair in the High School Symphonic Junior Band at the CAESMEC 2025 All-State Conference, as well as being selected for the All-State Honors Conferences in 2021 and 2022.
