Kanon Ogura

Kanon Ogura began playing the violin at the age of five and a half and has since earned top prizes in numerous prestigious competitions. Among her notable achievements, she was awarded 2nd Prize, the highest honor given, at the 43rd Junior Classical Music Competition in Japan, the Absolute Prize at the 1st Singapore International Music Competition, and the Grand Prix at the 2023 United Stars Music Competition. Most recently, she won 3rd Prize at the 2023 Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinists in Belgium.
In March 2024, Kanon moved to the United States, where she continues to refine her artistry under the guidance of Ms. Joo Kim. A dedicated and passionate musician, she has performed both as a soloist and in ensemble settings and is looking forward to making her solo debut with the youth orchestra.
