Kayla Jiang is a 6th grader at Thomas Grover Middle School in West Windsor, NJ. She has been studying piano since the age of 4 and truly enjoys the musical journey.
Over the past few years, she has traveled to different cities for competitions and performances. She has competed and won prizes in numerous piano competitions, including 2025 Italy MIMAS International Music Festival Piano Competition (Junior Group B, 4th Prize), 2024 The 8th Vienna Mozart International Piano Competition, China Finals (Children B Group, Gold Award), 2024 Chamlong International Piano Open Competition, China National Finals (Youth Group E, First Prize Award), 2023 The 11th Steinway China National Youth Piano Competition & the 88th Steinway & Sons International Children & Youth Piano Competition, Southwest Regional Finals (Amateur A Group, Third Prize Award), 2023 Wiesbaden International Piano Competition, Asia Pacific Finals (Optionale Gruppe VI, Second Prize), 2022 The 9th International Young Pianist Competition, China Finals(Children’s Group B, 2nd Place Winner, First Prize), 2022 The 30th Mazowsze Chopin International Music Festival Piano Competition, China National Finals (Children A Group, Gold Award), 2022 The 19th Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition, National Elite Round (Children’s B Group, Second Prize), 2022 Blüthner International Music Festival, Deutsch Carl Rönisch International Piano Competition, National Final Competition (Public Youth C Group, First Prize).
When she is not playing piano, she enjoys reading, playing table tennis, unicycling, and watching Chinese opera. Kayla competed in the 2025 10th Spelling Bee of China national finals, and she won 10th place.
