Lachlan Wong started learning cello at the age of 8 years old and is currently studying with Jihee Kim. He has served as the Principal Cellist at San Jose Youth Chamber Orchestra and is currently the Principal Cellist at Lynbrook High School Chamber Orchestra. He was selected into the 2026 California All-State High School Symphony Orchestra and the 2025 California Honor Symphony Orchestra. He has also received 2nd place in the 2023/24 Navaroli Concerto Competition, selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival in 2024, and most recently received 3rd place in the 2025 Lynbrook/Monta Vista concerto competition. In addition to cello, he also plays piano, bass, electric guitar and saxophone. Outside of music, he plays basketball and waterpolo for his high school, receiving the All-League and MVP awards for his most recent 2025 waterpolo season.
