Louis Junghyo Yoo began playing violin at the age of seven and has been dedicated to his musical growth ever since. He has performed in the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) and the Lake Washington School District Honor Orchestra, and has earned top placements at competitions such as the WMEA State Solo and Ensemble Contest and the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAFE). While he has a deep appreciation for Romantic era classical works, he also enjoys listening to contemporary rap artists like Kendrick Lamar. Beyond music, Louis is the founder of his school’s chess club, is on the AMC national honor list, and recently competed internationally with his robotics team.
