Louise began studying the cello at age seven with Miriam Eckelhoefer, drawn to the instrument’s rich and expressive sound. She has performed as assistant principal cellist with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) at Symphony Hall and as principal cellist with NEC Prep at Jordan Hall. In 2026, Louise won First Prize in Division II of the Miclot International Music Competition and later gave a solo recital at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, Massachusetts.
An avid chamber musician, Louise has participated for several years in summer chamber music programs at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, BYSO, and The Rivers School Conservatory, as well as in BYSO’s year-round chamber music program.
She also enjoys performing for the wider community and has played for audiences at the Museum of Science, the Museum of Fine Arts, and local senior centers.
Outside of music, Louise is a competitive épée fencer and an animal lover who enjoys caring for her neighbors’ pets.
