Lylajean Pierson started violin when she was about 4, and took lessons from Ann Odom. In 2021, she started taking lessons from Asheley Watabe, and went on a violin tour to Spain and France with her studio in 2022. She won the merit prize in the state of Utah for the Opus Music Competition in 2024, and in March 2025, she performed in Carnegie Hall in New York City.
