Mary Girgis– Pianist
Mary is a 12-year-old pianist from Gaithersburg, Maryland, whose dedication to music has been evident from a young age. She began studying piano at the age of six under the guidance of Elena Ayanyan.
Over the years, Mary has participated in numerous recitals each year, consistently showing passion, discipline, and musical growth. On April, 2025 Mary competed in Charleston international music competition and won fourth place among her age group. In addition to performing, Mary is interested in studying the lives and styles of the composers she plays, to help her better understand the historical and emotional context of their music.
Mary thrives on stage and finds joy in sharing her music with others, particularly in front of large audiences. Her confidence and poise while performing reflect her love for connecting with people through the universal language of music.
Mary dreams of one day performing at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall—a goal that drives her to reach new heights as a young musician.
