Max discovered a deep passion for the saxophone at eight years old, drawn to its warmth and expressive voice. From the first notes, Max found a unique connection to music that continues to shape his artistic journey. Max has performed continuously with his primary school, middle school and high school concert and jazz bands, exploring both classical and contemporary styles. With commitment to independent learning outside of school, Max prepared for and has earned Blue Ribbon awards in multiple AMIS Solo Festivals. Max further developed his music artistry through selective programs such as the Eastman Summer Saxophone Academy at the University of Rochester, where he trained among highly accomplished young saxophonists under the mentorship of distinguished faculty, deepening his musical insight and performance technique.
