Michaela Frey

Michaela Frey has studied with Olga Khroulevitch since she was 6. She was a winner in the American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF) Competition in 2015 (1st grade) and performed in the winners’ recital at Lincoln Center in New York City. She also performed with the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra in 2016. She won 1st place at the YMIC Metropolitan Solo Music Festival in 2016, won 2nd place in the Concert Artists International Maestro Competition in 2017, and performed solo later that year at the Mansion at Strathmore Hall. She was again a winner in the AFAF Competition in 2017 and performed at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall. She won 2nd place in the Northern VA Music Teachers Concerto Competition in 2018 and was selected to perform in the NVTMA Honors Recital in May 2019. In 2020, after winning 1st prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition Bonn, Michaela was invited to perform at the Winners’ Concerts at the Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany. She also won honorable mention in the Bellagrande International Music Competition, and in 2021, won the honorable award in the American Music Talent Competition.
