Nathan Sun is a freshman at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. He has played violin since he was 10 and recently served as the concertmaster of Golden State Youth Orchestra’s Camilla Kolchinsky Orchestra (CKO). Currently, he is a member of the GSYO Senior Symphony, as well as Lynbrook’s Chamber Orchestra. Nathan has also placed in multiple competitions, including the OPUS Music Competition, the US New Star Strings Competition, CIMC, and BHIMC. He has also participated in the 2025 Junior High All-State Orchestra. Outside of performing, he mentors younger students in lower-level GSYO ensembles. In addition to violin, Nathan plays piano, having completed Level 10 of the California Certificate of Merit earlier this year.
