Nathaniel Berman

Nate Berman, 17, is a classical guitarist, singer and songwriter from New York City. He started playing the guitar when he was 7 years old and began competing in local competitions shortly thereafter. Nate has spent summers at Berklee College of Music in Boston and Idyllwild Arts Academy in California. Nate most recently was an American Protégé competition finalist, as well as a semi-finalist in the 2024 International Songwriting Competition (the finalists will be announced in May). He has performed at charity events and open mic nights all over New York City, as well as toured with his choir and chamber choir up and down the East Coast. Nate studies under award-winning, best-selling guitar recording artist Hanan Harchol, and vocal coach, Steffani Bennett. Nate is a competitive chess player and his other interests include tennis and golf. Nate is excited to showcase his talent with the Charleston International Music Competition.
