My name is Owen, and I am 10 years old. I began playing the piano two years ago under the guidance of my esteemed teacher, Dr. Xiao-yan Sui. Since then, music has become an essential part of my life. I am passionate about learning new pieces, refining my skills, and expressing myself through music.
One of my most significant achievements so far has been participating in the MTAC Certificate of Merit (CM) Exam in 2024. Through dedicated practice and preparation, I was honored to receive the State Honor Award, earning a perfect score on the theory exam and delivering a strong repertoire performance. This experience has further inspired me to continue growing as a musician.
Beyond music, I also enjoy playing basketball and exploring mathematics. I appreciate the challenge of problem-solving and logical thinking, which, much like music, require focus and discipline. Basketball allows me to stay active and have fun with my friends while developing teamwork and perseverance.
Music is a journey that I truly enjoy, and I look forward to taking on new challenges, expanding my repertoire, and continuing to grow as a pianist.
