Pearleen Chu is a young pianist and flutist who has been playing the piano for 9 years and the flute for 4 years. She was selected into the SCSBOA Honor Bands as a flutist for three years, from 2023-2025. She was also selected into the CASMEC Honor Ensembles last year. Pearleen achieved 1st place in MTAC Winterfest flute competition in both 2023 and 2024. Pearleen also participated in the International American Protege Flute Competition and achieved second place, performing at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2025. In addition, Pearleen won first place in a Concerto competition in the spring of 2025. She also performs flute and piano monthly at local senior houses. Pearleen hopes to perform and share her love for music with more people in the future.
