Phil Feng, age 13, has been playing piano since the age of 5 and enjoys sharing music with others through both solo and ensemble performances. In addition to his classical piano studies, he has been serving as a pianist for his middle school’s Morning Jazz Band for two years and is also a cellist in school orchestra.
Beyond school music programs, Phil enjoys collaborating with fellow student musicians. He co-organized a small ensemble with other instrument players, bringing friends together to rehearse and perform in the community. He also tutors music theory to younger students and plays in nursing homes, which have strengthened his appreciation for the power of music to connect people.
Phil also enjoys composing and exploring different musical styles. Whether performing on stage, playing with an ensemble, or creating new music, he brings creativity and enthusiasm to every musical experience. He is always eager to learn, grow, and share his love of music with others.
