Rachel Jimenez, an accomplished 10-year-old cellist from Maryland, USA, has distinguished herself as Principal Cellist for both the Howard County Elementary Gifted and Talented Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra (BSYO) String Orchestra. She recently celebrated her orchestral debut at age nine, appearing as a featured soloist at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall after winning the BSYO Concerto Competition. Rachel’s artistry has graced esteemed stages, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, and Cary Hall at the DiMenna Center. Her competitive accolades include Grand Prix and first-place awards at the Music-Fest Rising Talents, American Protégé, American Virtuoso, and Musical Life international competitions. Furthermore, she holds multiple gold medals from the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Certificate Program for achieving top marks. Beyond cello, Rachel is a pianist, competitive gymnast, and an avid crafter with a passion for the color red!
