Ricardo Hiniker

Ricardo Hiniker started his music journey at the age of 6 with violin and harp at age 7. He has played as ad hoc harpist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Winelands Philharmonic Orchestra (WPO). He made his debut as a harp soloist with the WPO in 2025. He was also a member of the African United Youth Orchestra and performed in Carnegie Hall for the World Orchestra Week in 2024.
He is currently a final year BMus student at Stellenbosch University, specializing in harp performance under the teachings of Inge Wessels. He is also the second violin leader of the University of Stellenbosch Symphony Orchestra (USSO). He plans on furthering his studies with Masters of Music in Harp Performance at Stellenbosch University.
Music is a deeper form of worship for him and he uses the gift given to him to thank and praise the Lord.
