Sahana Prakriti Madhavan is a 7-year-old budding musician with a growing passion for both Western and Indian classical music. She has been learning piano for nearly one and a half years, steadily developing her technical skills, musical expression, and confidence on stage. Alongside her piano journey, Sahana is also training in Indian Carnatic vocal music, which has nurtured her sense of melody, rhythm, and voice control from an early age.
Currently a first-grade student, Sahana enjoys discovering new pieces, exploring different musical styles, and bringing her own curiosity and creativity into her practice. Whether she is singing a Carnatic lesson or performing a piano piece, she approaches music with enthusiasm, discipline, and joy.
Watch Sahana Prakriti Madhavan perform Dance no 8 from For Children, Vol. 2 by Bela Bartok on the piano for the 2025 Finale Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
