
Sahana Solai, a 9th grader from Chesterfield, MO, is a gifted pianist who began playing at age five. Over the past six years, she has won numerous awards at the Mid America Music Festival in solo, jazz and blues, composers, patriotic, and music bowl categories. Sahana is the winner of American Protege International Strings and Piano competition and has been invited to perform at the prestigious Carnagie Hall in New York city. Outside of music, Sahana is passionate about community service, earning honors such as the 2024-25 Zero Hero Award (Gold), Zero Hunger Award, National Community Service Ambassador Award, and two consecutive Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Awards (2022-2023). A dedicated student with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Sahana is also involved in tennis, speech and debate, and chamber orchestra. With a strong desire to help others, she aims to become a doctor, specializing in dentistry or medicine. Sahana’s commitment to excellence in music, academics, and service reflects her drive to inspire and make a meaningful impact.
