Sahana Srinivasan

Sahana Srinivasan is currently a rising freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park. She began studying piano in 2012 with Karina Hou and has been with her current teacher, Anita Yuthasastrkosol, since 2016. She is a Local, District, State, National, and International winner of the National Guild of Piano Teachers’ Exam and was recognized as the 2021 Rockville Competition bronze musician. She is a winner of the 2023 IAMPT Spring and Summer Grand Concours International Competition and was selected to play at The Soka Performing Arts Center in August 2023. She performed at Carnegie Hall in January 2024. She was a finalist in the International Young Artist Competition in June 2024. She won first place at the Young Artist Awards Music Competition in January 2025. She is also a Chief Intern for the Tacy Foundation, an organization inspiring hope through music to children and patients. She has played the piano at several hospitals and senior centers and has helped with various projects.
