Sally Jiang is a young pianist who began her musical journey at age five. Now 11 years old, Sally trains under the tutelage of Dr. Jenet Yu, a relationship described by Sally as both inspiring and demanding in the best possible way. Under Dr. Yu’s guidance, Sally has developed a thoughtful approach to tone, phrasing, and musical storytelling, while refining technical precision.
Sally actively engages in competitions, using each event as a stepping stone to growth rather than merely a podium finish. She approaches each piece—whether a lyrical sonata movement or a virtuosic showpiece—with meticulous preparation, seeking to convey emotion and narrative through her performance. Her competitive achievements to date reflect her dedication and resilience, and she embraces the challenge of more demanding repertoire as her next goal.
