
Gao Shanshan, 35 years old, is a member of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society. With 14 years of guzheng teaching experience, she currently serves at Beijing Zhongzheng Culture and Shandong Elderly University, dedicated to imparting guzheng techniques and Chinese culture to enthusiasts both in China and worldwide.
Her notable achievements include:
– Gold Award at Shandong Provincial Competition & Silver Award at National Competition, 1st China Youth Art Exhibition (2003)
– Gold Award at Shandong Division, 1st International Guzheng Invitational Competition (2011)
– Outstanding Grading Instructor by National Orchestral Society (three consecutive years)
– “Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor” title at the National Final of Intangible Cultural Heritage China Grand National Guzheng Music Festival
– Outstanding Instructor at the Asian Final of the 11th Asia International Art Festival
– Outstanding Instructor at the Hong Kong Final of Campus Star National Performance
She has participated in performances for Beijing Television (Beijing TV) and China Central Television (CCTV). In 2024, she performed the “Spring River Flower Moon Night” quartet at the Fenghua Traditional Chinese Music concert. Recognized as a “Sino-Thai Art Exchange Envoy” during the 49th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations, she completed advanced studies at the China Conservatory of Music. She earned the title of Senior Guzheng Instructor. She also co-authored the “Practical Basic Textbook of Guzheng” for Shandong Education Press’s Magic Music Series.
