Silas Urban has been playing the clarinet for 3 years, attending school at McKinney Christian Academy. Silas quickly found a love for the clarinet and his passion with classical music repertoire. Silas has placed in ATSSB All-Region, TPSMEA Honor Bands, TPSMEA All-Region and TPSMEA All-State & solos multiple times. Silas is continually expanding his musical literature portfolio & looking for opportunities to play with others.
Last year, he played in the GNTYO Symphony Orchestra. This year, he plays for Young Artist where he has enjoyed more competitive & classical composition. He has also enjoyed working with the GNTYO Chamber program.
Silas wants to major in music performance at Juliard. After college, he wants to travel to Germany to play for the Berlin Philharmonic.
