
Sophie began voice training in 2016 with Aneta Augustyn Davis. She joined Musicians’ Club of Pomona Valley for Hansel and Gretel in 2017 and a medley of French children’s songs in 2018. She has also performed in Repertory Opera Company’s Music at Noon concert series and “The Best of Gilbert and Sullivan” concert. In May of 2018 Sophie won 1st Place Voice in her age division in the John Child Walker Music. In January of 2023, she performed in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro produced by the Musicians Club of Pomona Valley, as Barbarina. In early 2023, Sophie Marie Zatoka had the honor of performing at the ICW event hosted by Catholic Charities at the Diocese of Orange in Garden Grove, California. Later that same year, Sophie achieved another remarkable milestone by being accepted into the Vocal Summer Academy at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and had a series of successful performances. This prestigious academy provided her with the opportunity to receive training from renowned voice faculty and industry professionals associated with the San Francisco Opera and Merola Opera Program. In October of 2024, Sophie was awarded the Encouragement Award at the Schmidt Vocal Competition at Chapman University.
