
Sophie Yao is a violinist and Jacobson Music Scholar at Princeton Day School. She began playing the violin at age five and has maintained a deep passion for music ever since. She serves as orchestra manager of the Princeton Day School orchestra and is a member of the CJMEA and NJ All-State Orchestras. As a soloist, she has performed at Carnegie Hall and has received distinctions and gold medals at numerous international violin competitions.
