My Piano Journey – Steven Eskandari
Hi, my name is Steven Eskandari, and I started learning piano when I was five years old. Ever since then, music has become a big part of my life. I love how I can express myself through the piano and explore different kinds of music.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to participate in many piano competitions and festivals. One of my favorite moments was winning first place at the Santa Clarita Valley Bach Festival. I also got second place in the Cohen Foundation Contest, which gave me the amazing opportunity to perform at Zipper Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. It was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget!
I enjoy playing all kinds of music—from classical to modern—and I’m always excited to learn new pieces. Piano has taught me discipline, creativity, and how to connect with others through music. I’m looking forward to continuing my musical journey and seeing where it takes me next.
Watch Steven Eskandari perform October “The Seasons” by P. I. Tchaikovsky on the piano for the 2025 Spring Music Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
