Tai Zhi Chen

Tai Zhi Chen began his journey on the piano in Taipei, Taiwan, before moving to Folsom, California, where he studied under Ms. Carol Chuang at the Pacific Institute of Music for five years. He currently continues his musical training under the guidance of Dr. I-shan Su.

In 2023, Tai Zhi made his debut performance at Carnegie Hall at the age of 11 as a First Prize winner of the Crescendo International Piano Competition. He has since returned to Carnegie Hall in 2024 and 2025, honored to perform there for three consecutive years.

Alongside these experiences, Tai Zhi has participated in many local, regional, and international competitions, including being a finalist in the Piano League: Piano Star International Piano Competition in 2021. He is especially inspired by the Romantic era, with a deep admiration for Chopin’s emotional depth and Liszt’s virtuosity.

In his free time, Tai enjoys playing the oboe and can often be found laughing with his friends. He is passionate about music, and hopes to continue sharing his love and obsession.
