Tristan Wang

Tristan Wang has studied violin with Mr. Charles Krigbaum since the age of five. Since fourth grade, he has performed with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra’s various ensembles, including the Dallas String Ensemble, Sinfonietta, Philharmonic, and GDYO. Tristan has also broadened his musical experience through the orchestra at Interlochen Summer Arts Camp and as principal second violin of the Suzuki Youth Orchestra of the Americas (2024). Tristan has earned recognition in multiple music competitions, including first place in the Dallas Symphonic Festival Intermediate Sonata/Piece Division, first place in the North Texas Suzuki Institute Young Artist Competition Junior Concerto Division, and second place in the Dallas Symphonic Festival Junior Concerto Division. In addition to playing violin, Tristan enjoys math, writing, chess, and drawing.
