Víctor Hugo Sanches Moreira, known artistically as Vìcttor Sanches, is a pianist, arranger, composer, and music producer from Brasília, Brazil. He began studying music at the age of five and pursued classical piano at the Brasília School of Music under Prof. Orlizete Vasconcelos, where he graduated in 2014 performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with orchestra. During this period, he won first prize at the Heitor Villa-Lobos Piano Competition, appeared in projects such as Pequenos Grandes Concertistas and the EMB Student Orchestra, and was featured in an interview for TV Cultura.
Since 2022, Víctor has been a pianist and arranger with the Brasília Philharmonic Orchestra, contributing regularly to its concert programs. His collaborations with the orchestra highlight both his artistry as a performer and his creative voice as an arranger, establishing him as a versatile musician within one of the city’s leading ensembles.
Beyond his work with the Philharmonic, Víctor has performed with groups spanning both classical and popular traditions, including Expresso (061), Pedra d’Água, Alpasso, AquiJazz, Banda Fractal, and De Vento em Popa. He has collaborated in chamber music settings, worked with cellist Nícolas Madalena and other instrumentalists, and performed in diverse venues ranging from concert halls to festivals, weddings, and cultural events.
Since 2018, he has expanded into popular piano and jazz, joining Big Band projects under Joel Barbosa, Vittor Santos, and Joaquin Betancourt. His artistry bridges the classical and popular worlds, shaping his unique approach as a performer, arranger, and composer.
Víctor’s creative output also includes soundtracks for video games (Crânio Labs) and short films from the University of Brasília, as well as production, recording, mixing, and mastering for bands such as Alpasso, Mountain Chicken, Efemero, and artists including Nícolas Madalena, Victor Abrão, and Caê Oliveira.
In addition to his artistic work, Víctor has also taught piano and music theory in schools and privately since 2016.
