William Ji-Hun MacIntosh

Music has been a part of my identity for as long as I can remember. I started playing the violin when I was just three years old, and what began as a simple childhood hobby has evolved into a deep, God-given talent that I cherish. Throughout my life, music has been a source of expression and connection for me. It is not just about playing notes on an instrument; it is about sharing a part of myself with others. Whether I am performing for a small group or a large crowd, I feel that music bridges gaps and brings people together in a way that words often cannot. It is the kind of art that makes me feel like I am part of something bigger than myself. I have played in community orchestras, high school orchestras, college orchestras, and musical pit orchestras. The performance I enjoyed playing in the most was the NYSSMA All-State Symphony Orchestra. I believe that my gift of music can bring joy, inspiration, and connection to the world. Music has the power to speak to people on an emotional level, to uplift them when they are down, and to inspire them to follow their dreams. I want to be someone who encourages others through my performances, someone who motivates people to believe in themselves and their potential.
