Dieu An Tran

Pianist

Born and raised in a Vietnamese immigrants family, Tran Dieu An grew not only with Vietnamese traditions but Russian mentality. From an early age, an interest in music was developed by the mother, a former graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky. Dieu An began to play piano since five-year-old. At age of 6, she enrolled in 1st class of Moscow Music and Pedagogical College (State educational institution of Moscow) to the piano class of teacher Isayeva Marina.

After 8 years, the family decided to transfer her to Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music in piano class of docent Shklovskaya Tatiana for professional education. Graduated with high school diploma with excellent scores, Dieu An successfully passed exams and became a student of the famous Moscow State Conservatory under Prof. S. Dorensky. During 2020 she received her special degree and started post-graduate studies under prof. A. Pisarev supervision. After 7 years Dieu An graduated from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory with honors diploma.

Since the beginning of studying in Gnesin school, Dieu An actively performed in different Russian cities (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Velikiy Novgorod, Nizhniy Novgorod, Naberezhnye Chelny, Omsk, etc.) and abroad (Vietnam, Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Italy, France, Germany, Israel, USA). She often participates in different concerts in her motherland Vietnam (The Hanoi Opera House, Saigon Opera House, Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Erato School). With the proper guidance from Tatiana Shklovskaya and prof. Sergei Dorensky Dieu An participated and won competitions, some of the competitions were significant for the career: Latvia (I prize), Hungary (II prize) and Italy (Grand-Prix), where she got highest points and many invitations for participating in competitions, concerts and masterclasses. Her first time playing with an orchestra was in Lithuania, where she got a I prize. Also, she was a member of Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation for many years, that gave her the opportunity to perform all around the world.

Dieu An’s repertoire includes various works of such composers as J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, L. Beethoven, F. Chopin, R. Schumann, A. Scriabin, S. Rachmaninov, S. Prokofiev.

The pianist performs not only with a solo programme but with her sister in piano duo (4 hands and 2 pianos). As soloist Dieu An had concerts with chamber & symphonic orchestras. Also, Tran Dieu An loves to participate as a chamber ensemblist or as a collaborative pianist with different instruments and voices.
