Simla Özbudak

Simla Özbudak was born in Istanbul. After completing her secondary and high school education at Fine Arts schools, she was admitted to Haliç University Conservatory, where she studied piano under the guidance of Madlen Saydam, a retired professor of Mimar Sinan Conservatory. She later completed her Master’s degree, graduating with distinction.

In addition to her academic studies, she received long-term private instruction from Michael Chumburidze, son of the renowned pianist Irakli Chumburidze and a faculty member at Istanbul University. Together, they gave numerous concerts at prestigious venues such as Eskişehir Fine Arts, Nişantaşı Işık School, and İş Sanat.

She has also worked as a répétiteur, accompanying vocalists for a period of time, and has received awards in several international competitions.

With over 16 years of teaching experience, Simla Özbudak has been actively preparing her students for both online and in-person international piano competitions. Along with her students, she has participated in and received awards at various competitions and festivals in cities including Italy, İzmir, Cyprus, and Rome.

She has attended masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Gülsin Onay, Prof. Giuliano Adorno, and Prof. Mikhail Khokhlov. She continues to teach actively and to prepare her students for international piano competitions and festivals.
