Kourtney Jia (15) is a sophomore at West High School in Salt Lake City and has been playing the piano since the age of five. Her recent accomplishments include first place in both the 2025 UMTA Concerto Competition and the 2025 SummerArts Solo Competition. She has performed as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra Ogden and the American West Symphony.
In addition to piano, Kourtney is a first violinist in the West High School orchestra. She also volunteers as a pianist at a hospital in Salt Lake City, where she shares her music with patients, bringing comfort and joy. Outside of music, Kourtney enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and skiing during the winter.
