Maaya Sankara is a passionate young vocalist and performing artist from San Jose, California, whose love for music began at the age of five. With five years of vocal training, she enjoys pop and contemporary music, using her powerful and expressive voice to share emotions, tell stories, and connect with audiences.
Maaya has performed at community and cultural events, including Oktoberfest and Christmas tree lighting celebrations. Her performance experience also includes lead roles in musical theater productions such as Aladdin, Willy Wonka, and The Aristocats, where she continues to build her stage presence and confidence.
A second-place winner at the San Francisco International Music Innovative Competition, Maaya is expanding her artistry through vocal training, songwriting, keyboard, and ukulele. She also studies Bharatanatyam, which strengthens her appreciation for rhythm, movement, and storytelling.
With dreams of becoming a professional singer and performing on major stages, Maaya is committed to developing her unique sound and inspiring others through the joy of music.
