Internationally Prize-Winning Violist Alec Yariel Luna has performed on the great stages of the world including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Kölnner Philharmonie in Cologne. He has played alongside cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Joshua Bell, pianist Orion Weiss, and violist Hsin-Yun Huang as well as with members of the Brentano, Emerson, and Tokyo String Quartets. A. Yariel has also played in masterclasses for artists such as: Michael Tilson-Thomas, Peter Oundjian, James Ehnes, and Tabea Zimmermann.
As a solo and collaborative artist A.Yariel has performed alongside members of R.E.M and The Rolling Stones for PBS’s broadcast of the Emmy-nominated “A Night of Georgia Music”, and has recorded for Sirius XM. Alec has been a prize winner at the 2021 Music International Grand Prix, as well as a winner of the New World Young Artist Competition. In 2022 he was awarded the Vincent-Wilkinson Fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival.
