
Aaron Kim is a Junior at Del Norte High School in San Diego, California. He has been playing violin since he was ten years old and switched to viola at the age of fifteen under guidance of Mr. Chi-Yuan Chen, a viola principal at San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Aaron is currently a viola principal at Del Norte High School Chamber Orchestra and member of Advance Orchestra at the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra (MMYO). Before he joins the Advance Orchestra at MMYO, He was a viola principal for the intermediate orchestra at MMYO. He has won multiple awards in recent music competitions including 1st place for viola solo at the 2023 Los Angeles Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition (Solo Performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall), 3rd place at the American Protégé Competition (Solo performance at the Carnegie Hall), and 2nd Place at the Metropolitan Gospel Music Festival.
