As a young child I had played the piano for about a year before I quit. Since then until middle school, music and learning an instrument never a wish. But upon entering fifth grade and given the choice to hold an instrument or sing, I picked up the cello and was re-introduced into the world of music first by my school orchestra teacher, and then my private and current cello teacher. Ever since, I have played the cello and been taught by my very wonderful teachers that have guided me throughout my journey. I have played in my school orchestra since middle school and been to All-Region, qualifying in 5th grade as first chair and again this year as 6th chair. In addition to All-region, I have also been accepted to TPSMEA All-State this year. Finally, I have also been playing in GDYO’s Philharmonic Orchestra in the past year and this coming year.
