Abraham Isai Cruz

Bass-baritone Abraham Isai Cruz is a 21-year-old from Gilroy, California. He is currently in his last semester of receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Voice
Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He plans on continuing his studies to receive his Masters and Doctorates degree in Voice Performance. This year alone Abraham has won first place at the 2022 NSAL Arizona Competition and the Opera Modesto Kristina Townsend Memorial Competition.
Additionally, he advanced to the semi finals and was placed as an alternate-finalist for both the Mary Jacobs Smith Singer of the Year Competition
and the Opera Birmingham 2022 National Competition. Abraham was also accepted to eight summer programs for the 2022 session, receiving full
scholarships at each one. One of these aforementioned programs is the Seagle Colony Festival- where he will be attending as an Emerging Artist in their nine
week training program. Abraham’s dream is to sing at the MET one day and all the Major Opera houses in the world. Abraham is a proud Latino who wants to give back to his family and community because in doing so, he will be paying it forward to the next person in line.
