Adelaide Chan was born in San Francisco in 2010. She embarked on her piano journey at the age of five. Under the guidance of Darja Koehler in Lafayette, California, she has been dedicated to the Suzuki method since 2016. Adelaide has demonstrated remarkable prowess on the piano, earning numerous local and international awards, including a Grand Prix Winner in Concert Festival International Competition 2020, Second Prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition 2022, a First Prize (2017) and three Third Prizes (2016, 2018, 2019) from the Music Teachers’ Association of California. Noteworthy achievements encompass accolades in the Baroque Festival (2019), the Great Composers International Music Competition (2019), Artist of the Year (2019), US Open Competition (2020), Best of Beethoven Performance (2021), Glory International Piano Competition (2021), and Glory International Classical Competition (2021). Gratefully, Adelaide’s inclusion in the winners’ concerts is a result of her outstanding performance at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall in London UK (for British Suzuki Gala 2020 & 2023), the Carnegie Hall in New York, and Vienna Music Society, Musikverein Wien (for Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition 2024) in Austria.
