
Adriana Ossi is 12 years old and has been playing the violin since age 5. She played with the First Coast Suzuki Players strings ensemble until age 7, when she joined the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra’s (JSYO) Foundation Strings. The following year she was accepted to JSYO’s Premier Strings where she was awarded Concertmaster. Adriana then joined JSYO’s Repertory Orchestra for two seasons where she participated as Assistant Principal of Second Violins, and subsequently advanced into Philharmonic as Assistant Principal of Second Violins. Adriana has also been a winner of state and national competitions.
While in JSYO, Adriana’s interest in music grew deep with the teaching of Mrs. Helen Morin, Mrs. Aurelia Duca, and Prof. Melissa Barrett. Her joy for music continues to reach new levels.
Adriana has played in recitals and in Prelude Chamber Music festival for several summers, where she recently performed in a piano-violin duet. The past four years she has participated in playing the violin with her church organist and choir at many services.
Adriana’s other interests include reading, crocheting, and horseback riding. Her favorite times are spent outdoors with her family.
